Breeze and Beam

Global warming is defined as the increase of the planet’s average temperatures over an extended period of time due to an increase in heat-trapping (greenhouse) gases in the atmosphere. Although it is a natural process for the planet, humans have significantly increased the pace at which the temperatures are rising – mainly due to the burning of fossil fuels such as oil, natural gas, and coal. These non-renewable resources take millions of years to form and are predicted to run out within the next 200 years. Without these resources and if no alternative energy production methods are implemented, humans could face huge challenges to generate power for the population. Therefore, if we can migrate to cleaner ways of producing and utilizing energy, we can help mitigate the effects of global warming and contribute to a sustainable future.
